Borderlands: did the announcement date (and name) of the new game emerge?

During the Summer Game Fest event Gearbox, according to a recent leak, could announce a new game belonging to the Borderlands series.

Gearbox, the development team behind the hit series Borderlands, during the Summer Game Fest event will announce the new game currently in development. This new game could carry the title of Wonderlands, according to some references found on a new website.

The website in question, called Be Chaotic Great, has just opened and features a countdown that will end Thursday 10 June. In addition, on this site, there is a tagline that reads “A new adventure from Gearbox and 2K is coming”.

Twitter user Wario64 found on this site some references to something called Wonderlands in what appears to be the source code of the aforementioned website.

Wonderlands, according to this information, should be the title of this alleged new Gearbox project which, according to other rumors, could be a Borderlands spin-off dedicated to the character of Tiny Tina.

Wonderlands will be unveiled on June 10th

Gearbox in the past had already confirmed that it was working on a new game in the Borderlands series and according to this information the two things could be connected. Of course we are talking about mere speculation and therefore we urge you to take such unofficial information with a grain of salt.

It must also be specified that Gearbox it will also have its own space during the week of E3 on 12 June, so any game announced on Thursday is likely to receive more information just a couple of days later.

To conclude, we remind you that the Summer Game Fest will kick off with the Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live on Thursday 10 June and, with over 30 games ready to be presented, promises to be a show full of announcements and surprises.

This edition of the Summer Game Fest, however, will be different from last year, in that all events will be concentrated in less than 30 days, which will radically change the structure of the event.
