Does Hideo Kojima prepare an upcoming announcement?
From the scam sandwich to the obvious card: Hideo Kojima rekindles the hype for E3 with a simple badge, but will there really be an announcement?
The pre-E3 delusion is about to reach its absolute zenith now that Hideo Kojima with a simple photo brings all of us to expect a announcement. The Kickoff event (“kick-off”, in the case) of the Summer GDFrom the scam sandwich to the obvious card: Hideo Kojima rekindles the hype for E3 with a simple badge, but will there really be an announcement? organized by Geoff “The Game Awards” Keighley is scheduled for this week, specifically for tomorrow.
The dances will open on Twitch, and apparently the legendary game designer has already confirmed an appearance at the show. Your personal assistant, Ayako (Touchy for friends), posted a picture of Kojima with a Summer Game Fest card in hand.
Although expecting an announcement seems premature, therefore, it is practically certain that Hideo Kojima will be present at the Summer Game Fest Kickoff Event tomorrow. It’s been two years since the release of Death Stranding on PS4, and it’s certainly not impossible that his studio has something to show.
Below you can see the photo in question. We doubt the mind behind it Metal Gear Solid needs introductions, but the innovations he brought to the gaming industry (including bold ideas, like Boktai on Game Boy Advance) and his well-known cinematic flair have made him an icon of the medium.

Needless to do it on purpose, it is not even the first time that Ayako / Touchy leads us to struggle with a simple photo. Kojima was previously “paparazzi” while eating a sandwich, but the fact that he was doing it near the Sony headquarters made it the subject of news.
Previously, rumors claimed that Kojima’s next project was an Xbox exclusive, as for April Jeff Grubb (who else?) reported that Xbox was trying to persuade the game designer to create a platform exclusive. We do not yet know if the “plan to leverage Japanese talent” will go through.
We still don’t know what this year’s E3 may have in store for us, but the wait is getting closer intolerable. We hope to have news to report soon.
