Fable: an insider reveals the presence of the online co-op, the MMO formula denied

An insider drops the bomb: the online co-op will be part of the next Fable, while silencing every rumor about a hypothetical structure to be

After the humorous teaser from Microsoft, the next stop in the series Fable he did not talk much about himself outside of speculation: it is a good thing, therefore, that he insider have revealed the presence of the online co-op (disproving the formula from MMO) in an XboxEra discussion. Of course, given the conjectural context, we invite you to caution.

The insider in question is the user and co-founder Nick “Shpeshal Ed” Baker, who in response to another forum member denied rumors about the MMO nature of the online component implemented in the next Fable. To the detriment of the naturalness with which he spoke about it, his statement was able to entice all those who frequent the discussion, waiting for other revelations.

The XboxEra conversation is about the entire environment of Microsoft’s development teams, and at least one user reacted with exasperation about being “talking about Fable and MMO again” before Baker denied the rumor in favor of online co-op. The latter, however, was not “announced” with particular certainty by the insider.

It wouldn’t be the first time the Fable series has implemented co-op mechanics. We have already seen examples with the second chapter, and later also in the third episode. We don’t know how much ambitious the development team will reveal itself with this new next-gen incarnation of the franchise, but according to the speculative scene there may be more reasons behind so much mystery.

In any case, even before Baker’s intrusion, the idea of an MMO version of Fable had already been denied by another insider, Daniel “Zhuge EX” Ahmad. We will have to wait before having more news on the title itself, especially as regards the online sphere specifically.

Before leaving, we remind you that Fable, the fourth installment of the highly acclaimed series, does not yet have an official release date. The game, unlike previous titles, will be developed by Playground Games, the software house behind the Forza series.
