Although Xbox has released games on PC via the Microsoft Store and Game Pass, not everyone uses these platforms, so many players have missed some titles from this company. Fortunately, this has begun to change, as we have seen how Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Sea of Thieves have opened the doors for the properties of this company on Steam. Now, It was revealed today that Forza Horizon 4 will hit the Valve virtual store next month.
Through a statement, which has been removed, Xbox confirmed that Forza Horizon 4 will come to Steam on March 9, 2021. This version will have cross-play with consoles and xCloud. Similarly, you can purchase the various updates and DLC that the game has received since its launch in 2018.
Here’s what Mike Brown, Creative Director for Forza Horizon, said:
“Gamers have been celebrating the seasons in historic UK on Xbox consoles and on Windows 10 PCs with Xbox Game Pass and we are excited to bring Forza Horizon 4 to a new audience on Steam.”
Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that this version will not have cross-progression, and you will not be able to transfer your game to the Steam edition. Similarly, considering that Forza Horizon 4 will be the first title of the series on Steam, it is unknown if other games in the franchise will reach this digital store.
