As you know, Cyberpunk 2077 it was surprisingly removed from the PlayStation Store yesterday, this after thousands of people requested a refund in the Sony digital store. After this information was released, many expected Microsoft to make a similar move. Nevertheless, It appears that at the moment there are no plans to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from the Microsoft Store.
In a statement to the Reuters site, Adam Kiciński, CEO of CD Projekt Red, mentioned that at the moment they have not had a discussion with Microsoft about the state of the game, as well as a possible withdrawal from the Xbox digital store. This was what was commented:
“We are not in such discussions with Microsoft at this time.”
In this way, Cyberpunk 2077 will continue to be sold digitally on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, at least for now. Similarly, it has been mentioned that The removal of the game from the PS Store has caused CD Projekt Red’s shares to drop again by 20%.
Recently, CD Projekt Red issued a statement where it was mentioned that The decision to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS Store was made by Sony and the Polish company. In this way, if at the moment there is no communication with Microsoft, then the game will remain available on Xbox platforms.
