forget to play Demon’s Souls with the DualSense. Leave out adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. The true experience of a Souls game can only be enjoyed in one way. That’s right, it was only a matter of time, but it was achieved. Someone is already playing Demon’s Souls on PS5 using… the original GameCube DK Bongos controller.
Super Louis 64, a modder who by this point is an artist when it comes to modifying games to play in the most unconventional way possible, posted a video on his official YouTube channel, where we can see how he modified the DK Bongos control, which we first saw in Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat for the GameCube, to work on the PS5.
However, there are a couple of problems. Louis 64 explains that the DK Bongos controller only has 10 buttons, and Demon’s Souls needs 20, but, as a Soulsborne veteran, Super Louis 64 says, “you don’t need to block if you don’t get hit.” Without a doubt, an experience that not many dare to try.
In the past, Super Louis 64 has been responsible for creating mods for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Dark Souls, and Breath of the Wild, all of which use the Ring Fit Adventure controller.
