Matt Reeves Confirms He Won’t Use Ben Affleck’s Script For Batman
More movie news from Batman: Now its director, Matt Reeves, has revealed that he will not be using the previous script, that is, the one with Ben Affleck for the tape. On the contrary, he will choose to make a new story.
Reeves was invited to the Happy Sad Confused podcast and was asked if he would use the script that Affleck and Geoff Johns worked on. The director replied, “No, it will be a new story. It’s fully booting once again. I’m excited and I think it will be something very cool.”
Reeves also clarified that so far all his attention has been directed at War for the Planet of the Apes so the Batman project is still in its preliminary stage. About the script, it was written by Affleck and Johns, later received a rewrite courtesy of Chris Terrio, who worked on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
