OnePlus promises the arrival of Android P to the OnePlus 3 and 3T

Last month, OnePlus announced a new software management for its devices, and like Google, promised two years of updates for them followed by an additional year of security patches for every phone from the brand. Today following with the promises of updates, the company stands up to give us the good news on two of its old high-end terminals.

A few weeks ago, the Chinese company commented that the latest version of Android that the OnePlus 3 and 3T would reach would be Oreo 8.1. However, it seems that there has been a change of plans within the brand. The present day OnePlus has promised the OP3 and OP3T the update to the almost official version of Android P. This is undoubtedly great news, users who have any of these terminals will be able to enjoy this version along with all the news in the manufacturer’s light customization layer.

OnePlus adds that the update for these two will be low priority, which means that they will be the last of the brand to update. The order of updating their mobiles goes according to the launch, first it will be the OnePlus 6, followed by the OnePlus 5 / 5T and lastly the OnePlus 3 / 3T. The news is not all good, These phones will not receive new OxygenOS betas at least for now, because it is more important to focus on preparing the version for your entire catalog. Don’t expect the update to arrive within a week of the official Android P launch scheduled for the last week of August, it may take weeks and even months.
