“Only 4 of your friends on Facebook really care about you” – study
It is believed that many of your contacts on social networks do not care in the least what you do with your life. However, apparently a recent study would confirm what was said by verifying through an analysis that, of all your “friends”, only a small group of these would really feel some kind of empathy for your being and your activity.
A recent study conducted by the University of Oxfordwhich was approved by the psychologist Robin Dunbarhas revealed that there are few people that we have added in Facebook and that they could really be considered as friends. After analyzing a total of 3,375 profiles on the social network, they were able to find that, on average, 14 of our contacts could be classified as close friends. However, only four of them could be considered as people who would care what we do, to the point of even giving us their support in times of crisis.
Although the result offered by the study could be somewhat incredible for many, Dunbar reveals that this data would not be far from other previous investigations that have been carried out. In them they have been able to verify that the number of close friends that people have in Facebook it’s not far from what they have in real life.
And do you think you can also tell your real friends about Face with the palm of your hand?
