Resident Evil Village: discovered how to reset the demo timer on PC

Some PC users have found a way to reset the timer of the final demo of Resident Evil Village, the eighth installment of the famous saga

A few days after the release of Resident Evil Village, some users have found ways to reset the final demo timer. As we revealed in our previous news, Capcom made the final Resident Evil Village demo available from2 to 10 May 2021.

As you know, in fact, initially the demo should have been available from 02:00 on 2nd May until 02:00 on 3rd May, but now it will be possible to take advantage of this “appetizer” until 02:00 Italian time on May 10th.

Despite this change of plans, however, the demo will still have a limited duration of sixty minutes, after which players will no longer be allowed to proceed with the experience or to start everything over.

Some PC users, however, have already found a way to reset the timer, thus allowing them to play the demo without further limitations.

The user Leaves proposed lto the following procedure to reset the Resident Evil Village demo timer on the Steam, which you can find below:

  1. Disable the Steam Cloud for the demo
  2. Download Steam SAM (Steam Achievement Manager)
  3. Delete local saves
  4. Launch Steam SAM
  5. Select the demo
  6. Remove goals and stats

Once this is done, once the demo has been performed the timer will be reset by one hour.

The two previously released demos were only available to users Sony, that is, only on PlayStation 4 And PlayStation 5. This final demo, which brings together the previous two, will also be usable by users of Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC And Stadia.

Resident Evil Village will be available in physical and digital stores starting from May 7, 2021, that is, in less than a week. The game will be cross gen, and therefore available on all old and new generation platforms, more specifically on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Windows PC (Steam).

For owners of old gen consoles it will be possible to upgrade to the new generation version via a free update.
