The Galaxy S10 would have a screen technology with an integrated speaker to avoid the notch

Samsung has no plans to incorporate a notch in its next devices that is clear to us. The South Korean manufacturer apparently works on a new technology to avoid the notch how much we have seen since the first months of the year and at the same time improve screen utilization. At the moment there is no official name for them but we can refer to them as “sound emitting screens”.

This technology consists of a screen with a normal aspect but that unlike the others, this might not have an in-ear speaker that we use for calls. Instead of having the conventional speaker on top, it could be inside the screen. This will be possible thanks to a new technology in the panel capable of transmitting sound by means of vibrations as long as the person has their ear pressed to the screen.

Samsung introduced a smartphone prototype With this technology at an event last month, it was observed that the sound quality was good and the same as the conventional speaker. With this the next phone of the company (probably the Galaxy S10) can have an edge-to-edge display without frames.

With this there would be no need to have a notch on the screen. The notch offers a little more leverage on the front but does not help improve the design of the phone according to most. It should be said that will be used only for calls and listening with the ear next to the phone, it cannot be used for stereo sound or anything like that. We will know more about this technology probably in the following mobiles of the brand.

What do you think of this new type of screen?
