Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales and the single-player campaign of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. With a strong focus on choices and an exceptional cast of characters, Thronebreaker takes players back to the monster-infested wastes of the world of The Witcher. Created by the developers who worked on the most iconic moments of The Witcher 3: Wild Huntthe game revolves around the royal story of Mevewar veteran and queen of two Northern Kingdoms: Lyria And Rivia. Faced with the impending Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to take up arms again and set out on a dark path dominated by destruction and vengeance.
Over the course of the adventure, players will explore new parts of the world of The Witcher, venturing into tons of thrilling quests with characters with complex personalities. All while gathering resources to expand your army and fighting in battles with GWENT: The Witcher Card Game’s skill-based combat system.
Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is coming to PC on October 23 on GOG.com and the December 4th on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. More details regarding the price of Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales will be released in the future. In addition to the release of Homecoming – the biggest update in game history – GWENT: The Witcher Card Game will be out of beta on PC on October 23rd on GOG.com and the December 4th on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Announced last April, Homecoming introduces significant changes to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, bringing back some elements that made The Witcher 3’s original Gwent popular in the community. The update will include feedback received from players during the public beta period.
In addition, Homecoming includes a complete reinterpretation of the playing field that becomes a three-dimensional arena with two distinct rows, an improvement to the game graphics that return to be aligned with the darkness and rawness of the world of The Witcher, a new system of deck creation and new game mechanics.
