Eminem and Apple are close to reaching an agreement

It seems that the negotiations between both parties are on the right track, and both could abandon judicial proceedings.

Lawyers for Eminem, Apple Computer and MTV have asked the court for a postponement, because negotiations between them are on track.

The case dates back to February when Apple used Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself” in an advertisement without his consent. In addition, MTV used this popular song by this artist, which was the soundtrack of “8 miles” to announce Apple’s new service, broadcasting the advertisement with said song.

The court accuses Apple of using an image without its rights for commercial purposes, and it seems that the compensation may exceed $10 million.
