Instagram is testing tags to identify AI-generated content

Meta’s generative AI tools based on its new Llama 2 model may not be far away for users of the company’s platformsbecause as we can see on Twitter, it seems that Meta is working on several new generative artificial intelligence functions for Instagram, including tags that allow creators to identify “Meta AI generated” images.

We can see this on the Twitter account of Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer who has found on more than one occasion some features under development in Meta applications, as has been the case on this occasion regarding these labels for content generated by artificial intelligence.

It should be noted that we are faced with a message that would indicate that the content has been generated with Meta’s artificial intelligence, but we do not know if we will be able to manually tag content generated with other artificial intelligences on our own. such as using Midjourney or Stable Diffusion outside of the Meta applications and then uploading the generated images.

In any case, this is a step in the right direction, especially if the use of this tag with content generated by Meta’s artificial intelligence is completely mandatory.
