Surface 3 gets display drivers from Intel to make Windows 10 usable

Microsoft recently recommended against installing the Windows 10 preview on a Surface 3. The main reason was because there was no set of drivers for the operating system to work properly with the new Intel Atom processor.

This absence of drivers causes major system instability, Windows 10 will suddenly freeze, and over time the screen will become unresponsive. The solution was to simply reboot the system whenever it did.

Today, the first display drivers that can be easily downloaded from Windows Update Services are available for those running Windows 10 build 10074. If you put off installing the latest public view, you can now install the operating system, you must Go to Windows Update and download the drivers as soon as possible so that everything works perfectly.

Please remember that this is the first draft of the drivers as other issues may arise as well. If things don’t work out, you can always roll back to Windows 8.1.
