The first free title update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak arrives on August 10 with new monsters and new end-game challenges

During today’s Monster Hunter™ Rise: Sunbreak digital event, Series Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and Director Yoshitake Suzuki announced that Title Update 1, the first free title update of the expansion Monster Hunter™ Rise: Sunbreak, will be available on August 10, 2022. This update is packed with new content for the Kingdom’s heroic hunters, including the return of four fan-favorite monsters, plus an expansion to the Anomaly Quest system for greater challenges and rewards. In addition to all the content coming tomorrow for hunters who have reached Master Rank 10, players of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will see new event missions arriving every week after the update.

Last seen in 2013’s Monster Hunter™ 3 Ultimate, Lucent Nargacuga refracts moonlight from his brilliant white fur to become nearly invisible except for his piercing red eyes. His relentless attacks and incredible speed make him a punishing target for even the most experienced hunters. This agile predator makes its nest in the newly redesigned Forlorn Arena, defined by crumbling stone buildings and colonnades. And if an invisible enemy isn’t enough to handle, hunters should also prepare for Seething Bazelgeuse which can crash the party with its incredibly volatile explosive scales. Known as an aerial menace with a propensity to arrive at the most inconvenient times, Seething Bazelgeuse brings a bombastic edge to any hunt. Finally, Gold Rathians and Silver Rathalos are also coming swooping in Title Update 1. These rare subspecies are even more ferocious than their iconic counterparts. Additionally, armor that can be crafted from monster materials added in ver.11 will include unique new abilities.

In addition to these harrowing new contenders, the Anomaly Research Mission system is expanded as part of Title Update 1. The new Five Star rating for Anomaly Missions has been unlocked, which includes new monsters such as Lunagaron and Magma Almudron that can be unlocked by progressing through the new Anomaly Investigations missions. Additionally, a new mission system, Anomaly Investigations, has also been added. These quests offer randomized quest conditions, such as target monsters, locations, and number of hunters with gradually increasing difficulty levels. The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards! Anomaly Investigations also offers new materials that allow hunters to further customize their gear in Querious Creations. Hunters can customize their favorite upgrades, such as attack power and weapon affinity, and armor, defense, stamina, skill points can be changed randomly. Hunters looking for specific materials can stop by Bahari the Scientist’s new Anomaly Research Laboratory to exchange special items obtained from Anomaly Investigations for items useful for Qurious Creations.

On top of all this content, new Event Quests will begin rolling out each week starting August 18, 2022, along with extra challenging “Double Jeopardy” missions for those looking to test their mettle. Stylish hunters and Fiorayne fanatics have plenty to celebrate too, with new DLC options for layered armor, hairstyles, stickers, BGMs and even NPC costumes allowing hunters to customize their favorite characters in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The layered armor set allows players to take on Fiorayne’s appearance, and the voice DLC will give players her voice during their hunts.

Stay tuned for future title updates with new monsters and more, with Free Title Update 2 launching in late September.
